Board Responsibilities
- Provide direct scientific oversight of the Foundation’s international and local conferences and evaluate research to ensure quality and compliance with rigorous academic publishing standards.
- Peer-review and evaluate studies submitted to scholarly journals supported by the Foundation and develop strategies for indexing them in Scopus, Clarivate and other reputable international databases.
- Approve ethical standards and scientific controls for academic integrity and the prevention of plagiarism across the Foundation’s research and publications.
- Evaluate and endorse development initiatives and interdisciplinary research plans that support innovation and knowledge societies in academic environments.
- Provide scientific and executive advice to universities and educational institutions seeking academic accreditation and curriculum or program development.
- Periodically evaluate the academic and research performance of the journals and conferences supported by the Foundation against comprehensive quality standards and international classifications.
- Develop general research policies and guide researchers and postgraduate students toward issues that serve society and advance education.
- Supervise the formulation of conference and seminar themes in line with contemporary research trends, labor-market needs and future knowledge requirements.
- Build strong academic networks and cooperation with major universities and research centers inside and outside Iraq to exchange expertise and localize advanced knowledge.
- Support academic and scientific translation and the transfer of advanced knowledge to strengthen scholarly content and its international quality.
- Form qualified peer-review committees to assess academic projects and initiatives submitted to the Foundation and provide rigorous feedback.
- Adopt modern scientific screening, verification and review mechanisms for all Foundation outputs to reinforce rigor and institutional standing locally and internationally.
