With gratitude to Almighty God, the Second International Scientific Conference, entitled “From Humanistic Authenticity to the Horizons of Innovation and Scientific Modernity,” was held on 23 August 2026 at Ibn Khaldun University College in Baghdad.
The conference was conducted under the direct supervision and organization of Ajyal Al-Rafidain Foundation for Education Development, chaired by Dr. Alaa Thabit Jassim, with active scientific participation and joint patronage from the University of Ninevah, the University of Sulaimani, Cordoba Private University, Ibn Khaldun University College, the Department of Research and Studies, the Department of Religious Education and Islamic Studies, Waai Center for Consulting and Capacity Building, Al-Khimiya’i Center for Training and Consulting in Aqaba, Jordan, Noor Al-Ilm House for Printing, Publishing and Distribution in Irbid, Jordan, and Ajyal Al-Rafidain Foundation for Education Development.
The conference welcomed a high-level audience including university presidents, college deans and directors general, along with a large number of researchers and academics. It also featured broad international participation, with scientific-committee members and researchers traveling from several Arab and other countries to participate in person and present research.
The opening ceremony included welcoming and inaugural addresses as well as remarks by participating researchers from Iraq and abroad. This was followed by research and scientific sessions in which numerous valuable papers across academic disciplines were discussed.
The conference concluded by recognizing distinguished efforts and contributions. Commemorative shields were presented to organizing bodies, scientific and preparatory committees, reception committees and researchers who achieved the top rankings. Participation certificates and administrative orders confirming participation and attendance were also distributed, together with the administrative order granting the International Scientific Creativity Medal, letters of thanks and appreciation, Foundation membership certificates and honorary scientific medals.
The conference forms part of a continuing series of academic activities sponsored by Ajyal Al-Rafidain Foundation for Education Development to strengthen scientific cooperation, support research and innovation, and expand academic communication with national and international universities and institutions.
