Foundation Chairman Dr. Alaa Thabit Jassim participated in the expanded meeting of organizations and institutions held at the Office of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in Anbar Governorate, under the patronage of the Council’s Anbar office.
The meeting was attended by office director Mr. Yasser Riyadh Hamad; Mr. Karim Al-Haliji, representative of the central administration of the General Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations in Iraq; Ms. Abrar Al-Ani, Head of the Organizations Affairs Department at the Anbar Governorate Office; Mr. Omar Walid Al-Halbousi, representative of the General Forum in Anbar; and a large number of representatives of organizations and institutions.
Discussions addressed ways to strengthen the role of organizations and institutions in supporting sustainable development and improving mechanisms of cooperation and partnership with governmental and legislative institutions. Participants also discussed preparations for the First National Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations, planned to be held in Baghdad during the coming September.
The participants emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and intensifying coordination among organizations and institutions in support of development, stability and service to Iraqi society. The Foundation Chairman’s participation reflects the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening its presence in national activities, supporting development initiatives and building partnerships with official bodies and civil-society organizations.
