With distinguished scientific patronage and effective partnership, the Second International Conference on Applied, Social and Human Sciences was held at Duhok Polytechnic University under the title “Smart Universities and Their Role in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals across Different Disciplines.”
Ajyal Al-Rafidain Foundation for Education Development, represented by its Chairman Dr. Alaa Thabit Jassim, played a leading and effective role as one of the principal participating and organizing institutions. The Foundation made a major contribution to leading and successfully delivering this large scientific event in cooperation with Duhok Polytechnic University, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, the University of Sulaimani, Cordoba Private University and Wa'ai Center for Consultancy and Capacity Building.
The conference was attended by the representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region, Prof. Dr. Sabah Ibrahim Weis; Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University; Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University; Prof. Dr. Wissam Salah Abdul-Hussein, President of Cordoba University; Dr. Mahmoud Nouri Al-Hatimi, Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department at the Sunni Endowment Office; Dr. Ali Abboudi Neama, Executive Director of the Foundation; Prof. Dr. Suzan Saber Haider, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Sulaimani and Chair of the Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board; Dr. Ahmed Jameel Al-Mudarris, Director of Wa'ai Center for Consultancy and Capacity Building; as well as a broad group of university vice presidents, college deans, academics, professors and researchers from various scientific and research institutions.
At the conclusion of the conference, participation certificates were distributed and researchers were awarded the International Scientific Creativity Medal. The top-ranked distinguished research papers were also honored, and participants received recognition for their scientific and research contributions to the success of the event.
