Abstract

This study aims to highlight the importance of integrating Maqasid al-Shariah with contemporary human thought as a cognitive and methodological approach to addressing contemporary global challenges of ethical, intellectual, and cultural nature. The research is based on a central question: how can the humanistic dimensions of Maqasid al-Shariah interact constructively with contemporary human thought without compromising Islamic normative foundations?
The study adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology by examining the conceptual framework and development of Maqasid al-Shariah, analyzing the core principles of contemporary human thought, and identifying the foundations of integration between them, particularly shared values, justice, human dignity, and maqasid-based ijtihad. It also explores the role of this integration in addressing ethical crises and intellectual and cultural challenges in the modern world.
The study concludes that the integration between Maqasid al-Shariah and human thought is not a secondary intellectual option but a moral and cognitive necessity that contributes to building a balanced contemporary human vision, combining Islamic authenticity with human openness, and promoting dialogue and social peace amid global challenges.
